Daniel Boone Distance Riders:  www.dbdr.info  The Daniel Boone Distance Riders are a nonprofit organization formed to promote distance riding in and around the state of Kentucky.

Gold Country Endurance Riders:   www.gcer.org  GCER started in 1980 in Auburn, CA.  Membership includes endurance riders, social riders and non-riders.  Gold Country members enjoy camp-outs and many social rides throughout the year.  Annually GCER puts on the Gold Country 30/50 Endurance Ride.  Other activites include helping with the Western States Run and the Western States (Tevis) 100-mile ride, as well as building and/or repairing trails.

Green Mountain Horse Association:  www.gmhainc.org  The Green Mountain Horse Association is a nonprofit organization founded in 1926.  The group’s goals are to promote the use of horses, provide facilities for horse shows and activities, and develop and maintain bridle trails in Vermont.  GMHA has held a significant place in the development of horse sports in the United States.

Middle of the Trail Distance Riders Association:  www.motdra.org  MOTDRA was founded in 1990 by a group of people who enjoyed competitive trail and endurance riding.  They wanted to create an organization to sanction both types of rides, with enough rules to make the competition fair and fun, but without making the rules onerous.  They wanted a club where people could learn about distance riding in a friendly atmosphere.  Most of our members hail from Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma but is open to all.

Mountain Region Endurance Riders:  www.mrer.org   MRER is the regional endurance riding organization for the Mountain Region.  Members participate in an awards program and receive a bi-monthly newsletter.

Nebraska Endurance and Competitive Trail Ride Association:  www.nectra.info  NECTRA promotes the sport of distance riding.  Members meet 6-8 times per year and spring through fall.  Most of the emphasis is on CTR, but the group members also give back to the community by participating in trail cleanings and clearings, donating to state parks for special projects and volunteering with the Nebraska Horse Council and North American Trail Ride Conference to promote trails and serve the horse community.

Ohio Arabian and All-Breed Trail Riding Society:  www.oaats.org  OAATS, Inc., is the endurance, competitive distance, and pleasure trail riders club for Ohio and surrounding areas.

Old Dominion Endurance Rides:  www.olddominionrides.org   The Old Dominion Endurance Rides Inc. was formed in 1973 to promote and support the sport of endurance riding.  Membership comes from all over the country.  The group hosts the No Frills, Old Dominion and Ft. Valley endurance rides, as well as ride and tie competitions held in conjunction with the endurance rides.  The organization focuses on competition and training, education and trail preservation.

Ozark Country Endurance Riders:  ocer.us  OCER is a regional club which sponsors limited distance and endurance rides in the states of Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma.

Pacific Northwest Endurance Rides, Inc.:   www.nwrides.org  PNER is an organization composed of people interested in endurance riding in the Northwest.  Membership in PNER offers fun, social, competitive, and educational benefits:  regional awards, team competitions, an annual convention, regional officers, and a monthly newsletter.

Quicksilver Endurance Riders, Inc.: www.qser.net  The club originated in 1979 as a group of friends with a common interest in endurance riding, and grew to become Quicksilver Endurance Riders, Inc.  Now the club puts on endurance rides, ride and tie rides, poker rides and other fun activities.  The group has regular meetings, publishes a newsletter, a yearbook, and holds an annual banquet.  The group is actively involved in community affairs involving horse trails, both to protect old trails and to open new ones.

Redwood Empire Endurance Riders:  www.redwoodendurance.org  Redwood Empire Endurance Riders is an endurance riding club based in Humboldt County in northwestern California which hosts several annual endurance rides on horseback in the redwoods.

South Eastern Distance Riding Association:  www.distanceriding.org SEDRA is an organization dedicated to the distance sports of endurance, competitive trail and competitive driving and to the owners of equine athletes.  Its purpose is to encourage the growth and popularity of distance-related equine sports throughout Florida and the southeastern United States.

Southeast Endurance Riders Association:  www.seraonline.org  SERA is a non-profit organization designed to promote endurance riding, encourage better care of endurance horses through rider education and assist ride managers in producing quality competitions.  SERA uses the rules for endurance riding as set forth by the AERC, and is committed to stewardship of lands they use by fostering land ethics that harmonize the relationship between equestrians and these lands.

Southern California Endurance Riders: 
http//sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/So_Cal_Endurance  This Yahoo e-mail group gives Southern California endurance riders the opportunity to network and share information on local training and conditioning areas, trail issues, horses and tack for sale, endurance events or clinics being held in the region, and AERC issues that directly concern the PS region.

Southwest Distance Riders Association:  http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/swdra  Since 1987, SWDRA – an organization of Southwest Region AERC members – has shared ideas, ride calendars, stories, etc.  The group also awards accomplishments on an annual basis.

Texas Endurance Riders Association:  http://texasenduranceriders.org  TERA is an information source for endurance riding in Texas.  TERA holds ride manager clinics, rider clinics, and sponsors many Texas rides.  TERA publishes a newsletter with Central Region rides listed.  The association’s year-end awards are given to acknowledge high point earners as well as those who help the sport.

American Endurance Ride Conference:  www.aerc.org  AERC’s mission is to promote the sport of endurance riding and to encourage and enforce the safe use of horses in demonstrating their endurance abilities in a natural setting through the development, use, and preservation of trails.  Further, AERC’s mission is to maintain horse and ride records of event competition and completions, to record and provide awards to outstanding horses and riders, to ensure that all sanctioned events are conducted in a safe, fair, and consistent manner, and to actively promote and conduct educational efforts and research projects that will foster a high level of safety and enjoyment for all horses and riders.

Arabian Horse Association:  www.arabianhorses.org  AHA provides an association of like-minded Arabian horse enthusiasts and a focal point for your favorite recreational or competitive activities.  AHA is the official breed association and registry in the US with more than 40,000 members who own Arabian, Half-Arabian and Anglo-Arabian horses.  AHA seeks to meet the breeding, competitive, and recreational interests of all Arabian horse owners.

Green Bean Endurance Challenge:  www.greenbeanendurance.org  The Green Bean Endurance Challenge is an awards program for new and aspiring endurance riders. All members have fewer then 1,000 career Limited Distance and Endurance miles from our parent organization, the American Endurance Ride Conference. This program recognizes riders who complete a ‘first’ in their endurance career. Perhaps it’s a first LD, a first 100, or even a first pull. It also encourages riders to participate in other ways and grants points for non-riding activities including volunteering, crewing, attending clinics, listening to a webinar, and more. Members can also join with other Green Beans to form a team that competes with other teams for year end awards. Members can form their own teams or be assigned to one. Either way, the team competition is always a fun way to meet other new riders, whether it is online or in-person.  

Upper Midwest Endurance and Competitive Rides Association:  www.umecra.com  UMECRA is a distance riding organization which sanctions endurance and competitive rides in Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.  All of their endurance rides are also sanctioned by AERC.

Distance Riding Association of Wisconsin:  www.drawisconsin.com  DRAW’s mission is to promote and encourage distance riding in the state of Wisconsin.  They host an endurance and competitive riding clinic in the spring and rides throughout the season.

Great Lakes Distance Riding Association:  www.gldrami.org  GLDRA is a distance riding organization that encourages trail rides in the state of Michigan.

Midwest Distance Driving Association:  http://mdda.info  MDDA was organized to promote competitive distance driving.  MDDA has driving events scheduled every month from April through October.

Minnesota Distance Riders Association:  www.mndra.com  MnDRA was formed to promote distance riding in the Upper Midwest, giving recognition to horse and rider teams.  Events sponsored in Minnesota are Competitive, Limited Distance, and Endurance.
